PROs and JOEs - Thompson Vs. Kimbo

It was a usual Saturday evening for me. I spent most of the day watching TV and checking my yahoo inbox desperately for any new mail. I don't remember what time it was but I was browsing through the TV channels and there I saw a familiar face from long time ago, Kimbo Slice. I first watched on Youtube challenging and fighting people in the streets. He was a rugged street fighter. His oppnents were left with swollen and bleeding faces at the end of the match. His blows were so brutal that nobody, not even one street warrior escaped without a bleeding part on his body. So, coming to the current issue, Kimbo had joined the professional fighting league called MMA. He was going to fight this guy called James Thompson. James Thompson had a swollen ear, probably from a previous fight, which looked totally funny on him. As the fight began, Kimbo, who had won a few matches in earlier MMA maches in short times seemed to be struggling with the 6'5" white hulk James Thompson. James Thompson used amazing techniques to make Kimbo feel insecure. In the first 2 rounds Kimbo was pinned to the ground so many times by James Thompson but he did manage to get to his feet and deliver a few punches that left Thompson with cuts on his cheek bones and forehead. Thompson, proved his experience and skills by repeatedly bringing Kimbo to the ground and throwing some fists that would have caused heavy concussions to Kimbo. In the third round, Thompson had the experienced street fighter but amateure MMA rookie Kimbo, in a helpless position gifting elbows and fists to Kombo's hairy face for about 1 minute, leaving Kimbo praying to his ancestors. I was really expecting James Thompson to finally hold the street fighter down and call it a day. But, suddenly something happens. Kimbo manages to get back on feet and punch right on Thompson's cauliflower ear. Thompson starts to bleed but doesn't stop. But, the over-cautious, 'self-righteous' referee comes and pulls Thompson away to save him. Thompson is taken aback and tries to push the referee off but, in vain. The referee calls the match and declares Kimbo victorious though Kimbo is already beat as heck and lying on the ground. Thompson would have easily overcome Kimbo in few more minutes but the supposedly, supposed-to-be-unbiased referee inerferes and gives Kimbo the match. What the heck? I read on some other articles that it was a set-up to just create a hype and advertise CBS channel, which is also very possible. I mean, Thompson has had 9 K.O.s and 4 submissions dude. Anyways, that was something I wanted criticise.
