It's my first time ever in San Jose. Zeena and Kishore moved here just a little over a month. The apartment looks like one of those I have seen in the movies. We went out shopping on Santana Row, known to be a posh celebrity style shopping place. None of the stores there were familiar to me :-P I guess that's why celebrities and rich people wear clothes so different from me. Anyway, the interesting thing is, Zeena and Kishore bought a Blu-Ray DVD player! Their old Memorex DVD player went old and useless. A Blu-Ray disc player, as you guys can look-up on the INTERNET, just uses blue-violet rays which tend to have shorter wavelength compared to the regular red, near infra-red waves, can be focused on a finer, smaller point. Packs somewhere around 25GB.Neat eh? With sony promoting Blu-Ray and electronics becoming cheaper by the day, Blu-Ray seems to be the future. I mean, who wants to burn 7 or 8 CDs/2-4 DVDs just for 5 hour mission on CoD-Modern Warfare2? The maximum resolution a Blu-Ray DVD can offer is 1920x1080.
A misconception with cameras. My roommate thinks that higher MegaPixel rating on a camera gives higher quality. A lot of people think that way I guess, but the truth is that, higher MP rating only lets you print larger without losing the picture quality. Higher MP rating does not define resolution.
Gosh, I was gonna talk about the movie 'Yes Man' we watched on that DVD player. May be next time.
